Alicia Keys sat down with Allison Langdon to talk about what’s next in her career, family life and upbringing and upcoming tour.
It’s clear that the Alicia Keys we all once thought we knew – has evolved into a more mature, newer kind of self. Not for the worse, just different. The first thing I noticed in this interview was Alicia’s hair – short and slicked forward a very different look from the braids, and signature curls she rocked in her formative years.
The biggest difference in Alicia’s life now is the presence and grounding of her husband Swizz Beatz and 2 year old son Egypt.
“He’s so vivacious…he has this great personality…open and everything…but he knows what he wants and you can’t convince him otherwise.”
Alicia Keys also spoke on her upbringing in Hell’s Kitchen, New York.
On fame she revealed that ‘she hated the fame’ when she first started and ‘wore hats, hoodies and scarves to hide.’
Hard to believe when you see her today performing in sold out stadiums and on the big screen.
I got chills listening to Alicia performing in the interview – just like I do every time I see her perform. If you haven’t seen her perform live before and you like her music she is an absolute MUST to see on stage. I have seen her twice on tour and both times were truly magical. Her musical talent, pro-woman spirit and high energy make for an unforgettable stage show.
